Robyne Faye Weis, 25
Robyne Faye Weis, 25, of Rose Creek, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, of an auto accident near Dexter.
She was born May 2, 1977, in Austin, to Odean and Allienne (Wandrey) Haarstad.
She graduated from Southland High School in 1995 and Mankato State College in 1999 with a degree in Human Resource Management and married Jason Weis on Oct. 22, 1999, at Grace Lutheran Church in Austin.
Robyne was circulation manager at the Austin Daily Herald for a year and later worked at Karrington Cottage, an assisted living facility in Rochester. She was currently employed at Mayo Clinic as administrative secretary in the research department.
A member of Zion Lutheran Church, she was a Sunday School teacher and treasurer of the Sunday School Department.
She enjoyed music, playing volleyball and spending time with her dog, Micky.
Survivors include husband, Jason Weis, Rose Creek; parents, Odean and Allienne Haarstad, Dexter; sister, LeAnn Kenyon (Paul Fischer), Brownsdale; brother, Michael (Lori) Haarstad, Owatonna; grandmother, Claudine Haarstad, Grand Meadow; father and mother-in-law, Paul and Patricia Weis, Rose Creek; brothers-in-law, Eric Weis, Owatonna; Kyle (Brea Van Pelt), Austin; Craig Weis, Rose Creek; grandparents-in-law, Maynard and Donna Weis, Rose Creek; Joe and Pearl Sternhagen, Rose Creek; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.
Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m., today, Aug. 16, 2002, at the funeral home and Saturday at the church for one hour before the service.
Service: 11 a.m., Saturday, at Zion Lutheran Church near Dexter with the Rev. Lyle Aadahl officiating.
Interment: In the church cemetery.

Lillian Braness, 84
Lillian Dorothy Magnuson Braness, 84, of Austin, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center.
She was born Oct. 5, 1917, in Minneapolis, to Nels and Ellen (Fredrickson) Magnuson.
She graduated from Webster, N.D. High School in 1934.
She moved to Minneapolis where she held several jobs in the downtown Dayton's store, eventually becoming manager of the customer service department.
In 1938, she married Leonard Braness, a barber in Minneapolis. He died Oct. 2, 1963.
Lillian retired from Dayton's in 1987.
A member of Central Lutheran Church, she worked for many years at the main reception desk on Sunday mornings.
She moved to Austin in May of 1997 where she lived at the Cedars, the Catherwood, the Colony and Comforcare. She joined St. Olaf Lutheran Church.
Survivors include nieces, cousins and her friends, Daniel and Kristin Wee, and their children.
Service: 11 a.m. memorial service, Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, in Westby Chapel at St. Olaf Lutheran Church.

Ray Wayne Libersky, 82
Ray Wayne Libersky, 82, of Lyle, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2002, at his home of cancer.
He was born Feb. 10, 1920, to Joseph and Luella (Halverson) Libersky in St. Ansgar, Iowa. He grew up in St. Ansgar, Iowa and attended schools in Lyle.
He served four years in the U.S. Army, fighting in Africa and Italy during World War II.
On Sept. 1, 1945, he married Evelyn Ruiter in Nashua, Iowa.
Ray worked in the sausage department at Hormel for 35 years, retiring in 1980.
Ray and Evelyn enjoyed organic flower and vegetable gardening at their home in Lyle.
Survivors include wife, Evelyn, Lyle; son, Larry (Dee), Magdalena, N.M.; one grandson; two step-grandchildren.
Visitation: One hour before the service on Monday.
Service: 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at the funeral home.
Interment: Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, Iowa.
