A 2013 Nissan Pathfinder was declared a total loss after Austin firefighters put out a car fire at the 600 block of Ninth Street Southwest Wednesday night.

Police Chief Brian Krueger said the car’s owner reported the car fire, which took place in his driveway, to authorities at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. The car was towed to Midtown Auto after firefighters beat back the flames. Krueger said the cause of the fire is unknown.
