The Austin girls basketball team won its second game in two days when it beat Faribault (2-13 overall, 0-12 Big Nine) 52-42 in Faribault Friday.

Alex Hansen, who had 12 points, started the game with a quick lay-up and 3-pointer to get the Packers going early and Austin (7-9 overall, 5-7 Big Nine) eventually led 16-3.

Ruth Koang had 20 points for Austin.

“It was a tough battle,” Austin head coach Todd Johnson said. “We pressed each other and it was a grind.”
