BP’s Worke scores 1,000th career point and career-high 30 points

Blooming Prairie senior Madison Worke set two major milestones as the Awesome Blossoms beat Faribault Bethlehem Academy (3-8 overall, 0-2 Gopher) 73-43 in Faribault Tuesday.

Worke scored a career-high 30 points for No. 6 ranked BP (11-1 overall, 5-0 Gopher) and she also tallied her 1,000th career point in the win. Worke needed 12 to reach the 1,000 point milestone and she had 18 points in the first half alone.

“We’re playing well right now,” BP head coach John Worke said. “All of the kids are engaged and they come to practice every day and work hard. They’re having fun.”
