Get to Know: Austin boys basketball player Gach Gach

Q: How did you originally get into your sport?

A: I got into sports after I watched my older cousins compete in there middle school, high school days. that following year I joined basketball in Faribault under their youth basketball Association.

Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?

A: My favorite sports memory has to be my dunk at state. That dunk erupted the whole arena and it felt great.

Q: What have you learned from playing sports?

A: Through sports I’ve learned that win or lose you are surrounded by a great group of guys (teammates) and that you’ve just got to have fun while your at it because most people stop with sports after high school and you just want to cherish every moment.

Q: What is the hardest part about your sport?

A: The hardest thing about my sport has to be getting back into basketball shape after eight months off.

Q: Who is your biggest sports role model and why?

A: My biggest role model has to be Kevin Garnett. Just the way he carries himself on and off the court, also by the way he plays. He doesn’t let others get in his head he gets into other players heads just by his tactics.

Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show?

A:My favorite TV shows are NCIS: Los Angeles and Hawaii Five-O

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: My favorite subject in history. I’ve just always liked it.

Q: What is your dream job?

A: Dream job is to play professional basketball somewhere.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Favorite food has to be Crispitos.
