Devoted husband and loving father Vincent J. Weiss Sr. of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 10, 2015.

He was born on May 11, 1931. He proudly served his country as a Navy Sea Bee during the Korean war from 1950-1954. While on military leave in Virginia Beach, Virginia, he met the love of his life Ida Greco. They married on July 17, 1954, in Newark, New Jersey. He then began his career as a police officer for the Newark Police Dept., where he served until his retirement. Upon his retirement he continued to serve as a police dispatcher for the Hackettstown Police Dept.
Vincent is survived by his sister Audrey Weiss, and brother Maynard Weiss of Austin, Minnesota. He will be greatly missed by his six children and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Jan. 31, 2015, at the Evangel Chapel, Bridgewater, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate contributions to St. Jude Hospital Children’s Cancer Research.
