The Austin girls basketball team lost 57-55 in overtime to Rochester Century (15-6 overall, 12-6 Big Nine) in Ove Berven Gym Tuesday.

Ruth Koang led the Packers (8-13 overall, 6-11 Big Nine) with 22 points.

“The girls fought hard and played a really good game against a top half Big Nine team,” Austin head coach Todd Johnson said. “We’re disappointed in the loss, but we’re proud of how hard the girls worked. When you battle that hard, it’s a difficult game to lose.”

Shayley Vesel hit two free throws with four seconds left in regulation to tie the game and force OT.
