Get to Know: Austin baseball player Hunter Lewis

Hunter Lewis is a senior baseball player on the Austin baseball team.

Q: How did you originally get into your sport?

A: I got into baseball originally from hearing about how fun it was and a few of my friends played it and wanted me to play with them.

Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?

A: My favorite sports memory was pitching against JM last year with us getting the 11-1 win.

Q: What have you learned from playing sports?

A: I have learned the rewards of hard work through playing baseball.

Q: What is the hardest part about your sport?

A: I think the hardest part about baseball is that it is hard to get our season in with spring in Minnesota being so unpredictable.  We never know when we will be able to go outside and actually practice.

Q: Who is your biggest sports role model and why?

A: My biggest sports role model would have to be Derek Jeter. He may not have always been the best player, but he always worked his hardest and did it always with class.

Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show?

A:  My favorite movie would have to be American Sniper. It was a really good movie and the fact that it was a true story made it just that much better.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: My favorite subject in school is band. I have been in band since 5th grade and it is really fun with a bunch of friends in it as well.

Q: What is your dream job?

A: My dream job is to be a waterslide tester.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: My favorite food is some fresh Subway since I work there.
