Hormel Food Corp. recognized for corporate responsibility

Hormel Foods Corp. announced Wednesday it has been recognized on the 16th annual Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine 100 Best Corporate Citizens List for the
seventh consecutive year, coming in at No. 44.
“We are proud of the accomplishments we have made through our corporate responsibility program, which focuses on our people, processes, performance, products and philanthropy,” said Julie H. Craven, vice president of corporate communications, in a press release. “It is truly an honor to be recognized as an outstanding corporate citizen for the seventh consecutive year.”
According to the magazine, the list documents 303 data points of disclosure and performance measures from publicly available information in seven categories: environment, climate change, employee relations, human rights, governance, finance and philanthropy. The list ranks the Russell 1000 index.
Hormel Foods publicly discloses information about its dedication to corporate responsibility each year through the Hormel Foods Corporate Responsibility Report and several other initiatives. The 2014 report will be released in June.
