An Austin man is without his 1999 Buick Century custom after it was stolen from the 400 block of Eighth Street Northeast Saturday.

Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger said the victim reported his car, maroon in color, stolen at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The victim had parked his car that morning near a relative’s house before he went to run errands and get work done.

The victim left his keys inside the vehicle, however, and didn’t realize he didn’t have them until about 3 p.m. He then went to grab a spare set of keys but didn’t return to the car until about 8:30 p.m., when he noticed it was missing.
