Robert Wayne McDaniel, 78, passed away peacefully at his home in San Diego California on April 5, 2015, with his family at his side.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jean; three children, Maureen (Brian) Maynard, Carolyn (Charles) Johnson, and Kevin (Amy) McDaniel; special family friend, Lisa Butman; brother, Frank (Penny); nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Bob served with pride as a 22-year veteran of the United States Army. He served as an Army recruiter in Austin, Minnesota during the 1980s and was the Production Manager at Cedar Valley Rehabilitation Workshop before the families move to San Diego. Bob married Jean in 1963.

A Mass in celebration of his life was held May 20, 2015, at San Rafael Church. A military burial was held at Miramar National Cemetery.
