Charlotte A. Dreyer, 87, of Austin, Minnesota, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Our House Memory Care.

Charlotte A. O’Connor was born Feb. 7, 1928, in Preston, Minnesota, to Michael and Verna (Levey) O’Connor. She grew up in Preston, moved to Austin as a teenager and graduated from Pacelli High School. Charlotte worked in the Hormel Foods corporate office before her marriage to Harold Dreyer at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Austin on July 11, 1948. The couple raised four children. She worked at Land O’Lakes in Albert Lea for many years until she retired. Charlotte and Harold enjoyed camping. They also enjoyed their years of wintering in Texas and Arizona. A member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Austin, Charlotte enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Charlotte is survived by her son Bruce (Sharon) Dreyer of Des Moines, Iowa; her daughters: Gloria (Henry) Griffith of Austin, Minnesota, Cathy (Robbie) Nance of Stanfield, North Carolina, Cheryl (Robert) Root of Stewartville, Minnesota; 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Verna O’Connor; her husband Harold Dreyer in October 2000; her granddaughter Hannah; her sisters: Evelyn (Bill) Hadlow and Marion (Allerd) Johnson; and her brother Lawrence O’Connor.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Pastor Robert Bailey officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, at Worlein Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
