To celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary, area Kwik Trip gas stations will offer 50-cent soda and coffee through Aug. 13.

Kwik Trip celebrates its 50th anniversary on Friday with a visit from Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The company started in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, in 1965.

Kwik Trip will also give awey $50,000 in prizes, including gift cards and trips, to people who enter an online contest through text messaging, Facebook or the company’s website at www.kwiktrip.com.
