An Austin woman and another driver were injured in a head-on crash on Highway 56 in Dodge County around 7:11 a.m. Monday morning.

Kelly Olson, 40, of Austin was driving a 2007 Honda Accord northbound on Highway 56 when a southbound 2003 Toyota Matrix driven by Mou Kou, 23, crossed the center line and the vehicles collided, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Olson and Mou each sustained non-life threatening injuries. Mou was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Saint Marys Campus, but Olson was not taken to a hospital, according to the report. Phia Vang, 25, of St. Paul was riding in the Matrix but was not injured.

Both vehicles were totaled and taken to T&K Towing. Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene.
