Susan D. Clark, 67, of Austin, Minnesota, died Monday afternoon, Sept. 7, 2015, surrounded by her family at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester-Saint Marys Campus.

Susan Diane Sandlin was born Jan. 5, 1948, in Superior, Wisconsin, the daughter of Michael and Luella (Woods) Sandlin. She grew up in Superior, graduating from high school in 1966. Susan was married, and then later divorced. She has lived in Austin the last 44 years. A member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Susan was employed by Hy-Vee, and later at Wal-Mart. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading, and doing crafts.

Susan is survived by her children: Jason Sandlin of Austin, Minnesota, Matt (Shelley) Clark, also of Austin, and Jennifer (Troy) Thicke of Rochester, Minnesota; four grandchildren: Alyssa, Bradley, Christian, and Kylie; three great-grandchildren: William, Nathan, and Matthew.

She was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Luella Sandlin.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin with Pastor Gerald Giese officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at Worlein Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to recipient of donor’s choice. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
