Over the past several years, Austin High School’s Jazz One ensemble has had several high honors, performing in Times Square in New York City and at the Minnesota State Music Educator’s Conference. This year, they will get a chance to do it again.

On Jan. 15, the group will travel to Minneapolis to perform at the Minnesota School Boards Association State Convention, a high distinction for the ensemble. Brad Mariska, the director of Jazz One, described the upcoming performance as both “a true honor” and “a great opportunity for our students,” in a press release.
