Robert Dale Kolpin, 73, of West Concord, Minnesota, formerly of Austin, Minnesota, passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Jan. 1, 2016, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.

Robert was born on May 23, 1942, in Austin, Minnesota, to Maynard and Mabel (Taylor) Kolpin. He worked at Cedar Valley Services for 25 years before moving to Dodge SLS in West Concord in August 2010.

Survivors include his brothers: Carl (Ann) Kolpin of Barnum, Minnesota, and Don (Jane) Kolpin of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; his dear uncle Don Kolpin of Austin; nieces, nephews, several cousins and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Maynard and Mabel Kolpin.

Family and friends will miss his kind and caring nature and beautiful smile. The family would like to express special thanks to Bob’s Cenneidigh group home family for creating a warm and welcoming place he loved and called home.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Pastor Dennis Tamke officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, immediately preceding the service. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are preferred in Bob’s memory to recipient of donor’s choice. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
