Austin YMCA swimmers compete in Regional meet

Four Austin YMCA swimmers attended the North Central Region YMCA Sanctioned Regional Meet March 19 and 20 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.
Shannan Kelly qualified placed 12th in the 100 freestyle with time of 59.76 seconds and she took 11th in 100-butterfly. Bridgid Kelly swam the 25 free, 25 back and 50 free and swam personal bests in all. Lucas Myers placed eighth in 25-freestyle, eighth in the 100-freestyle, 10th in 25-backstroke, 10th in the 50-freestyle, 14th in 25-butterfly and 15th in the 100-individual medley. Logan Kelly placed first
in the 100-breaststroke and 200 individual medley, second in 50-breaststroke and 100-individual medley, third in 50-freestyle, fourth in 100-backstroke and fifth in 100-freestyle.
Austin’s Andrew Clausman qualified in the 50-backstroke, but was unable to attend.
The YMCA’s summer swim morning program will begin June 20 and run through Aug. 12.
