Q: What sports do you compete in?
A: Volleyball for most of the year.
Q: How did you originally get into volleyball?
A: I tried it out in sixth grade at Ellis and really loved it.
Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?
A: My junior year at a volleyball tournament when the ball bounced off Awenia Nywesh’s head and we ended up winning the point.
Q: What have you learned from sports?
A: I think being in a sport has taught me that success comes from hard work. It’s a way to build self responsibility and being able to hold yourself accountable.
Q: What is the hardest part about volleyball?
A: Communicating at all times on the court can become challenging sometimes.
Q: Who is your biggest sports role model and why?
A: My biggest sports role model is Paige Tapp because I got to watch her play at the University of Minnesota and get to meet her and now she plays for the U.S Women’s National Volleyball Team.
Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show?
A: My favorite movie is ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.’
Q: What is your favorite subject in school?
A: Probably Spanish because it is fun to learn about.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up, but being a lawyer interests me.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Chicken nuggets from Chick-fil-A for sure.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: Attend a four year university. I’ve looked at the University of Minnesota and the University of Wisconsin-Madison and I loved them both, but I am undecided on what to major in.
Q: What’s a fun fact about you or hobby you enjoy most people don’t know about?
A: I love to collect coffee mugs from different states.
Q: What are your top three pump songs before a big game?
A: ‘It’s You’ remix by Molly Kate Kestner, ‘Take it All Back’ by Judah & The Lion, & of course ‘Juju on the Beat’ when I am with my team in the locker room.
Q: What are your top three guilty pleasure songs?
A: ‘Better Together’ by Jack Johnson, ‘Rosie’ by John Mayer, and ‘Magic’ by Coldplay.
