Saturday, Sept. 23
Tabernacle Experience Fundraiser, 4-7 p.m. at the Eagles Club in Albert Lea. An audio narration takes visitors through a life size tabernacle as seen in the days of Moses. There will also be a bake sale and a special recipe sloppy joe meal with salads, calico beans, chips and coffee. Ticket donations: $8. Call Sue at 507-320-5746 for advance tickets.

Annual harvest supper, 4:30-
7 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. Stuffed meatballs and gravy with all the trimmings, plus homemade pie. $11 for adults, $6 children age 6-12, 5 and under free.

GBC Family Day, noon to 4 p.m., Grace Baptist Church, 1700 W. Oakland Ave., Austin. Potluck. Games and volleyball for children and adults. The fire pit will be activated for making s’mores for dessert. 507-279-9047.

Pancake breakfast, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Little Cedar Lutheran Church, Adams. This is a fundraiser for the Cedar Court Apartments and Assisted Living carpet replacement project. Free will donation. Gift baskets.

Keepsake Quilter’s Guild Meeting, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Monthly get-together of quilting fans young and old. The Keepsake Quilter’s Guild’s goal is to encourage and inspire new and experienced quilters, and to share the love of our craft. Gatherings include opportunities to work on your own pieces as well as special programs with guest speakers presenting ideas, techniques, samples. Annual Pacelli Walk-A-Thon, 8 a.m. to noon, Queen of Angels Church, Austin. Fundraiser for the preK-12th grade programs. Knights of Columbus pancake breakfast, 8 a.m. to noon, free will donation; Family Fun Walk, 9-10 a.m. along the Cedar River Trails (Strollers and pets welcome.); Family carnival, 10 a.m. to noon on the lawn outside the church. It will include a dunk tank, inflatable obstacle course face painting, games and prizes.
Faith Students – Knockerball, 1-3 p.m., Faith Church, east building, 1805 12th St. SW, Austin. Knockerball is for students who “want to play a nice game of soccer to tag and lovingly annihilate the other person in (the) safety of a bubble. Gospel band performance by “The Farm Hands,” 6 p.m. at Crane Community Chapel. The community is invited to attend a concert by the award-winning bluegrass gospel band The Farm Hands Quartet out of Nashville, Tennessee. The performance is free, but an offering will be taken. Annual chicken and biscuits dinner and bake sale, dinner is 4-7 p.m., the bake sale starts at 3 p.m., First United Methodist Church, Austin. The menu includes chicken and biscuits, coleslaw, pie and coffee.
Tuesday, Oct. 31
14th annual Hallelujah Harvest Festival, 5:30-8 p.m. St. John’s Lutheran Church, Austin. Family fun with games, prizes and treats. A light supper will be served from 5:45-7:30 p.m. Bring a non-perishable food item and get 10 game tickets free. Each additional ticket costs 10 cents each.
