If you want to caucus with the Mower County Republicans, you will want to go to Grand Meadow School on Tuesday, Feb. 6 or Ellis Middle School.

If you want to caucus with the Mower County Democrats, you will want to head over Riverland Community College and find the West Building cafeteria that same evening.

The parties recently announced their schedules and location for their election year caucuses at which party members will learn about candidates, elect precinct officers and convention delegates as well as consider positions for party platforms.

For the Republicans, residents of easter Mower County will caucus at 7 p.m. at Grand Meadow School, which is on Highway 16. The townships included are Bennington, Clayton, Dexter, Frankford, Grand Meadow, LeRoy, Lodi, Marshall, Pleasant Valley, Racine and Sargeant, and the cities of Dexter, Elkton, Grand Meadow, LeRoy Racine Sargeant and Taopi.

Residents of Western Mower County are invited to attend the Republican caucus at Ellis Middle School, 1700 4th Ave. SE, Austin. The townships included are Adams, Austin, Lansing, Lyle, Nevada, Red Rock, Udolpho, Waltham and Windom. The city’s included are Adams, Austin, Brownsdale, Lyle, Mapleview, Rose Creek and Waltham.

Mower County Democratic-Farmer-Labor members will gather on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Riverland Community College in the West Building cafeteria. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. and caucusing begins at 7 p.m. Among other caucus business, participants will take part in a gubernatorial preference ballot.

Park in the north parking lot and use door W3 for convenience.
