The LeRoy/Ostrander girls basketball team lost it’s season opener to Kasson/Mantorville 63-18 in the Dover Tournament Friday.

The Cardinals (0-1 overall) turned the ball over 27 times in the first half against K/M’s press as they trailed 43-5 at the break.

“We’ve got a lot of girls who haven’t played varsity ball before and this was a learning experience for them to see how fast the game is played,” L/O head coach Aaron Hungerholt said. “We need to find a point guard, because nobody wanted the ball tonight.”
