Southland volleyball team falls short

The Southland volleyball team (2-1 overall, 1-1 Three Rivers) couldn’t keep up in a loss at Chatfield (7-1 overall) by scores of 16-26, 25-14, 21-25, 20-25 Thursday night.
“In the last two games we got on a streak where one bad pass turned into two,” Southland head coach Angie Smith said. “Defensively we outhustled them but our offense struggled.”
Amber O’Connell had 25 digs for the Rebels, Hilary Johnson had 22 digs, Katie Barthel had 15 digs, 11 assists, five kills, and three ace blocks, Chelsey Smith had 12 digs and three blocks, and Jenna Juenger had seven kills.
