The collision repair program on the Austin campus of Riverland Community College, along with the diesel technology program for the Albert Lea campus, were certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NAEF) and The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). The Automotive Service Technology Department on the Albert Lea campus was also certified.
In order to receive the certification, the transportation programs underwent rigorous evaluation by NAEF to determine if the programs met national standards for excellence in instruction and facilities.
Riverland’s diesel technology program provides training to medium or heavy truck technicians and nationally certified in the areas of brake, diesel engines, drive train, electrical systems, hydraulics, preventive maintenance inspection, and suspension and steering.
