NATO, U.S. best get a clue

NATO and the United States entered the conflict with Yugoslavia without a clear picture of what it is they are seeking to accomplish – in essence without a clear idea of the "End Game" – and things continue to get worse.

NATO and the United States entered the conflict with Yugoslavia without a clear picture of what it is they are seeking to accomplish – in essence without a clear idea of the "End Game" – and things continue to get worse.
Wednesday’s capture of three U.S. soldiers by Yugoslavian forces demonstrates just how dramatically things can change in war. NATO is now faced with a scenario it isn’t prepared for.
President Clinton and NATO best act fast and get a clue about what we’re trying to accomplish in the Balkans, before it’s too late.
Now we need to go get our boys and get them out of harms way. If we’re going to fight a war, let’s fight a war. Let’s not repeat past mistakes.
