Eva Hulet, 83
Eva Hulet, 83, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home in Austin.
She is survived by children James and Patricia Hulet, Austin, John C. and Doris Hulet, Austin, Marilyn and John Zrucky, Stewartville, Phillip and Nancy Hulet, Greenbrier, Tenn., Blanche and Steve Hollerud, Lyle; sixteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother George Boyenga, Austin; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband John in 1989, six brothers and four sisters.
· Service: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000 at Grace Baptist Church in Austin with the Rev. Gordon D. Larson officiating.
· Interment: Oakwood Cemetery
· Visitation: Friends may call at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. and at the church one hour before the service.
Myra Johnson, 81
Myra L. (Dolly) Johnson, 81, 146 Second Street SE, Blooming Prairie died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000.
She was born Dec. 23, 1918 in clear Lake, S.D. to Guy and Annetta (York) Davis. Dolly worked in Calif. at the shipyards during World War II. She was employed for over forty years by Kinsman Floral and Johnson Floral in Austin. She loved to play cards and also loved lutefisk.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Gary and Darlene Culton; Robert and Barbara Day; stepdaughter and husband, Becky and Steve Braaten; stepdaughter and husband, Becky and Steve Braaten; stepsons and wives Jack and Debbie Johnson; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Fern Radunz; several nieces, nephews and friends.
· Service: 1:30 p.m. at Worlein Funeral Home Friday, Jan. 14, 2000 with the Rev. Harold L. Usgaard officiating.
· Interment: Private interment at Grandview Cemetery
· Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Worlein Funeral Home.

Alice Justice, 88
Alice E. Justice, 88, of 1412 Sixth Avenue NW, died Wednesday evening, Jan. 12, 2000 at United Hospital in St. Paul.
She is survived by sons Donald and Geneva Igou, Dexter, Jack and Carol Justice, Rosemount; daughter Geraldine K. Steele, Rosemount; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister Gertrude Feterl, Salem, S.D.; brother Paul S. Honrath, Stockton, Calif.; nieces and nephews.
· Service: A funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:45 on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Paul Nelson officiating.
· Interment: Calvary Cemetery
· Visitation: There will be a 7 p.m. wake service at Mayer Funeral Home on Friday where friends may call from 4-8 p.m.
Doris McGee, 84
Doris McGee, 84, a former Rose Creek resident, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 12, 2000 at the Bear Creek Care Center in Rochester.
Doris was born to Sebastian I. and Edith E. (Belmer) Palmer on March 27, 1915 in Ceylon, Minn. She later graduated from Ceylon High School as valedictorian. On April 6, 1935, she was united in marriage with to Emmett McGee at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They lived in Austin until 1947 when they purchased a home in Clayton Township near Taopi, Minn.
After retiring, they made their home in Rose Creek and in 1992, they moved to what is now Bear Creek Care Center in Rochester.
Her husband worked for more than 38 years at Hormel Foods in Austin. He preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 1993.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rose Creek. She belonged to the Friendly Garden Club and received many awards for her flower arrangements. She enjoyed candlemaking, writing poetry and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Joseph and Dorothy McGee, Kenyon; four daughters and sons-in-law: Nancy (Lawrence) Theobald, Adams, Nadine Spencer, Thornton, Colo., Jan (Mike) Seidel, Herbster, Wis., Pamela (Mrs. Patrick) Schultz, St. Croix Falls, Wis.; step sons Gerald McGee, Rochester, Charles McGee, Richland, Wash.; stepdaughters Katie (Mrs. Everett) Hays, Austin, Rita Hummel, Bloomington; 23 grandchildren; 21 step grandchildren; many great and great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law Ruth (Mrs. Morris) Wicks, Custer, S.D.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Emmett McGee; daughter Jacqueline; stepdaughter Mercedes; two grandsons; four brothers, three sisters.
· Service: A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rose Creek with Father Ruben Spinler officiating.
· Interment: St. Peter’s Cemetery.
· Visitation: There will be a 6:30 p.m. wake service at Mayer Funeral Home on Friday where friends may call from 4-7 p.m. and also one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.
Villo Offen Jr., 53
Villo E. Offen Jr., 53, of McIntire, Iowa passed away at his residence on Jan. 11, 2000 with his wife and children present.
Villo was born on Dec. 18, 1946 in Riceville, Iowa to Villo and Elizabeth (Weber) Offen. He was one of four children born to this marriage. He attended local schools and graduated from the Riceville High School and went on to receive a degree in diesel mechanics. He served in the army and was stationed Vietnam. On Jan. 25, 1969 Villo was united in marriage to Sandy K. Heimerman at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Meyer, Iowa. He and Sandy entered into farming in 1974. Villo was a member of the Hale Penney American Legion Post 569 of Stacyville, Iowa and Osage VFW Post 7920 of Osage, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife Sandy Offen, McIntire, Iowa; daughters Lynnette Offen, Minneapolis, Michelle (Randy) Richardson, Riceville, Iowa and sisters Mrs. Bonnie (Don) LeFevre, Guttenberg, Iowa, Mrs. Dorothy (Jim) Schwab, Cedar Falls, Iowa, Nancy Meyer, Postville, Iowa and a mother-in-law Mrs. Marcene Heimerman, Stacyville, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his father-in-law Francis Heimerman.
· Service: A mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, Jan. 14, 2000 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Meyer, Iowa at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph M. Schneider officiating.
· Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Riceville, Iowa.
· Visitation: Friends may call at The Linstrom Funeral Home in Riceville Thursday, Jan. 13 during the hours of 3-8 p.m. where there will be a rosary at 3 p.m. and a scripture service at 7 p.m.
Marvel Priem, 91
Marvel Nason Priem, 91, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000 at Park Point Manor, Duluth, Minn.
Mrs. Priem taught cosmetology at the Vocational Institute (Now Riverland Community College) for 20 years before retiring to Duluth.
She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Arnold (Mary) Jacobson, Duluth.
Service and interment will be in Duluth on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Richard Sheedy, 90
Richard Sheedy, 90, 1403 Seventh Street NW, died Thursday morning, Jan. 13, 2000 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home.
Services are pending and arrangements will be announced later by Mayer Funeral Home.
Dr. Robert Smith, 61
Dr. Robert G. Smith, 61 died Monday, Jan. 9, 2000, at his home in Lakeland, Fla.
He was a retired veterinarian with the USDA. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lakeland.
He is survived by his wife Ruth; children Mary Foss, Beach Corners, Wis., Bonny Trapp, Fort Know, Ky., Kim Smith, Rockford, Ill; two step sons Timothy Jacobson, Merrifield, Minn. and Michael Jacobson, Rochester; sisters Bonny Wilson, Sun Prairie, Wis. and Karen Schmedeman of New Port Richey, Fla. and eleven beloved grandchildren.
Darlene Wegner, 61
Darlene O. (Graves) Wegner, 61, of 200 First Avenue NE, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000 at Burr Oak Manor.
Darlene was born Jan. 11, 1939 in Austin, Minn. to Charles and Mary (Gallagher) Graves.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Cary and Deb Heyer, LaCrescent, Chris Heyer, Austin, Craig and Cindy Heyer, Austin; four grandchildren; brothers and a sister-in-law Harold and Mary Graves, Brainerd, Jackie Graves, Austin; two sisters and brothers-in-law Gordon and Clela Brastad, Long Prairie, Minn., Donna and Elmer Mullenbach, Adams.
The casket bearers will be Cary and Deb Heyer, Craig and Cindy Heyer, Chris Heyer and Darwin Mullenbach.
The organist will be Tim Frank.
· Service: 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 14, 2000 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Stohlmann officiating.
· Interment: Oakwood Cemetery.
· Visitation: Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. on Thursday evening at Mayer Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church.
