A vivid display of what can happen in the blink of an eye was portrayed for Hayfield High School students Wednesday by Hayfield fire and EMS volunteers and student participants. The intent of the preprom crash display was to send a message to students, according to Corey Wagner, Hayfield’s dean of students and an adviser for Students Against Drunk Driving. "Students saw today what can happen when speed, drugs and alcohol are involved," Wagner said. "It’s been three or four years since we’ve done anything like this. With prom coming up, I think it’s an important reminder."
