The Austin American Legion ended the regular season with a 4-3 come from behind win over Owatonna Saturday night.

The Austin American Legion ended the regular season with a 4-3 come from behind win over Owatonna Saturday night. Austin finished the regular season with a record of 23-13, 8-6 in the First District.
Clint Ripley picked up the win in Saturday night’s game going the distance. Syd Schramm had the big hit in the game. His two-run double in the fifth brought Austin to within one run, 3-2.
This week Austin, the third seed, will host the First District tournament. Tuesday Austin will play Albert Lea at 7 p.m. at Marcusen Park. The top two seeds are the Rochester A’s and Patriots. Both teams came into the game with one loss in District play. All four first round games will be at the higher seed.
Thursday the tourney gets into full swing at Marcusen with four games played that day beginning at 11 a.m.
