Austin native Dave Meyer is off the disabled list and is again pitching for the San Bernardino Stampede. The Stampede is a Class A minor league team in the Los Angeles Dodgers’ farm system that plays in the California League.
On Wednesday night, Meyer pitched three innings in relief against the Lancaster JetHawks. The JetHawks won the first-half title in the California League’s Southern Division and are sporting a 22-5 record for the second half – good for first place. The Stampede is in second place at 16-10.
Meyer had a tough outing against the JetHawks, giving up four earned runs in the three innings of work. He gave up seven hits while striking out two batters. He was credited with the Stampedes’ 8-6 loss.
For the season, Meyer has made seven relief appearances. He has a 0-1 record with one save. In the 10 innings he has pitched, he has given up 13 hits and five earned runs. He has struck out five and walked one batter. His ERA is 4.50.
