The Austin Legion fastpitch softball team dropped a pair of league games to Rochester Eclipse Tuesday night at Todd Park.

Amber Wilson suffered the pitching loss in the opener, allowing six hits and striking out one batter in Austin’s 5-3 loss. Melanie Gabrielson led Austin at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a single and a triple. Megan Olson added a triple and Devon Esse drove in two of Austin’s three runs.

Rochester Eclipse collected nine hits to take a 7-3 win in the second game of the night. Gabrielson again led Austin at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a run scored, and Briana Jacobs doubled and scored a run.

"The girls played pretty well," Austin coach Denny Bray said. "We faced a really good pitcher from Rochester in both games."

The loss dropped Austin’s record to 20-14 and leaves it in third place in the Southern Minny League. Austin will close it’s season Thursday night with a doubleheader against the Owatonna Misfits at Todd Park beginning at 6 p.m.
