Joseph Lennell Walker, 31, was involved in three separate incidents over the weekend, including one where he was accused of brandishing a handgun.

According to Austin Police Department reports, Walker, who uses the street name of "Jihad" and has no permanent address, visited Bremerton Apartments. While a companion waited outside an apartment, Walker entered an apartment and announced he was looking for Anthony Pierce, whom he claimed owed him money.

While eyewitnesses observed, Walker allegedly held a long-barrelled revolver at his side and said he was going to harm Pierce unless he repaid him money.

In a second incident, Walker allegedly called Anne Jelinek and threatened her. In the third incident, Walker was accused of threatening another unidentified female, until restrained by the female’s companions.

He was apprehended and placed in the Mower County Jail, pending an appearance in court on charges of making terroristic threats.

A search of the man did not uncover a handgun, according to the police report.

Police car vandalized

The Holiday Inn of Austin Conference Center was the scene of another brawl among patrons at a dance party overnight.

According to Austin Police Department reports, security guards at the Holiday Inn event were unable to control dance party celebrants and called for help from police.

The incident spilled over outside the facilities, where a police car was vandalized.

No arrests were made.

Cab driver ‘stiffed’

Richard Seals, a Yellow Cab Company driver from Des Moines, Iowa, was "stiffed" the fare charged for driving a passenger to Austin.

According to an Austin Police Department report, Seals agreed to drive a man from Des Moines, Iowa to Austin in exchange for $250, which the passenger agreed to pay upon arrival in Austin.

When the cab driver arrived in Austin, his passenger exited the vehicle and walked away without paying the fare, which amounted to $331 on the cab’s meter.

The man did leave his luggage behind in the cab and police have a suspect.
