"Valek needs to gain confidence," said Coach Chris Staloch.

Cody Thurneau walked a pair of batters in a relief stint, and Steve Seykora came into finish the game. Seykora walked one before settling in to retire the next four batters.

"We have a lot of talent," Coach Staloch said. "This was our first game and we are searching for a leader to step up. Our field is in very good shape after all the snow we’ve had. We play today with Glenville at 4 p.m. here in Blooming Prairie."
