Selections for the Broadway hit "Annie Get Your Gun" will be presented. Singers will be performing solos and duets in costume. Favorites such as "There No Business Like Show Business," "Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better," and "I Got the Sun in the Morning" are just a few of the favorites from this play.

The Briars singing group from Riverland, directed by Jerry Girton, will be performing in the second section of the show.

The final selection of featured songs will be a Medley of MGM favorites such as "The Trolley Song," "Make Em Laugh," and "Over the Rainbow."

The Northwestern Singers will be challenging themselves singing a song in French and one in Portuguese.

The Northwestern Singers have been in existence for 47 years. It originally was a men’s group that organized under the Association of Male Choruses of America. In 1971, women were added to the group and the repertoire and performances expanded to include music from country to jazz and show tunes to gospel – to please a variety of audiences.

The Northwestern Singers present an annual spring concert, a production each January, and perform at Lenten services for many area churches including the ecumenical Good Friday service at St. Augustine’s Church. This group of singers provides Christmas and holiday entertainment for local organizations. They recently held a benefit concert for the Austin High School Boosters, donating $1,600 to the Boosters.

The group currently has 30 singers and is directed by Les Mahla, accompanied by Nancy Larson, with Paul Pruitt acting as master of ceremonies.
