James Ilo Graves, 82

James Ilo Graves, 82, of Rochester, died Friday, April 26, 2002, at his home.

He was born Dec. 15, 1919, in Jackson, Minn. to Lloyd and Isabel Graves.

On Sept. 24, 1960, he married Dorothymae Lyke in Minneapolis, Minn.

He resided in Austin most of his life where he was a mechanic at Hormel Foods Corp. for 37 years.

He also served in the Army from 1941 to 1944.

In 1996, he moved to Rochester, Minn.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the VFW in Austin.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothymae Graves; daughters Patricia Graves, Chicago, Ill., Susan Johnson, Rochester, and Judith Powers, Faribault; sisters Marian Hoerter, Austin, and Babe Benes, Esterville, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation: 5-8 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2002, at Congregational Church in Rochester and at Grace Baptist Church in Austin for one hour prior to the service.

Service: 10 a.m., Tuesday, at Grace Baptist Church, Austin, with the Rev. Gordon Larson officiating.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery.
