Sammi Jones' round of 49 to start the season earned her co-medalist honors in Lyle/Pacelli's first golf meet of the season Tuesday afternoon at Maple Valley Golf Course in Stewartville.

The meet, which was originally scheduled to be played at Ramsey Golf Course near Austin, was moved to Stewartville because Ramsey has not yet opened for the season. Lyle/Pacelli, playing outside for just the second time all season, did not field a complete team for the dual.

Jones, the school's first Class A girls' state golf qualifier, shot a 49 to tie Stewartville's Allison Dotzenrod for the meet medalist.

Lyle/Pacelli's scheduled meet with LaCrescent on Friday will not be played. L/P's next golf outing is Monday at Rushford-Peterson at 4:30 p.m.
