Bryan Van Scharrel & Angella Grant

David and Sandra Grant of Austin announce the engagement of their daughter, Angella Marie, to Bryan Robert Van Scharrel, the son of David and Paula Van Scharrel of Hitchcock, S.D.

Angella is a 1997 graduate of Blooming Prairie High School and a 2001 graduate of South Dakota State University. She works in Pierre for the State of South Dakota as the Economist in the Bureau of Finance and Management.

Bryan is a 1997 graduate of Hitchcock High School and a 2001 graduate of South Dakota State University. He is a Combine Specialist for Claas Omaha, LLC in Omaha, Neb.

The couple will be married July 27 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Austin.

Amy Davis & Paul Berglin

Amy Davis and Paul Berglin, both of Andover, announce their engagement.

Amy is the daughter of Kenneth and Sylvia Davis of Austin and Paul is the son of Brian and Teresa Berglin of Ham Lake.

Amy is 1995 graduate of Austin High School, a 1999 graduate of St. Olaf College and a recent graduate of Midwestern University Physician Assistant Program.

Paul is a 1995 graduate of Blaine High School and a 1997 graduate of Minnesota School of Business. He is the owner of Rum River Lumber Co. in Coon Rapids.

The couple will be married in August 2002, at St. Olaf Church in Austin.

Matt Schmit & Sarah Blume

Gary and Yvonne Schmit of Austin announce the engagement of their son, Matthew Allen Schmit, to Sarah Elizabeth Blume, daughter of Darwin and Margaret Blume of Faribault.

Sarah is a graduate of Augustana College and will graduate from Mankato State University in 2003 with a master's degree in school counseling.

Matt is a graduate of Luther College and will graduate this summer from the University of Minnesota with a master's degree in education. He is currently a teacher at Austin High School.

The couple will be married at 5:30 on July 5, 2002, at First English Lutheran Church in Faribault. The reception will be at the Holiday Inn of Owatonna.

Amy Tucker & Corey Lerum

Neil Tucker along with Michelle and James Lane, both of Austin, wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Marie Tucker, to Corey Kyle Lerum, son of Don and Sue Lerum, also of Austin.

Amy is a 1993 graduate of AHS, a 1997 graduate of RCC and a 2000 graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato with a major in Spanish Education. She is an English As A Second Language teacher at Faribault Public Schools.

Corey is a 1992 graduate of Austin High School and is employed at Tandem Products, Inc. of Blooming Prairie.

The wedding will take place Aug. 17, 2002, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin.
