Friends and local officials gathered Thursday at the Coffee House on Main to send their farewells to two mainstays at the Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Jeanne Sheehan, formerly the CVB's executive director, along with Chuck Keller, were greeted by numerous friends and supporters during the event.

"I have no doubt I'm going to miss the people the most," Sheehan said. "It's the best spot to meet fun, new and enthusiastic people."

Keller echoed Sheehan's sentiments.

"It's has been an exciting challenge," Keller said. "I've yet to have a disgruntled traveler. We have a lot to offer in this city."

Holly LaVallie, currently the CVB's executive director, said she was glad she had an opportunity to work with both Sheehan and Keller during a previous internship there.

"The thing that I have learned the most from Chuck and Jeanne is that a friendly smile and a kind heart will take you anywhere in this world. That's been both on the personal and business side."
