The originally scheduled six-team Austin Greyhounds baseball tournament has dwindled to a field of four, forcing a change in the schedule for this weekend.
The once three-day tournament now will be completed on Saturday only, with four teams playing a round-robin format at Marcusen Park.
The host Greyhounds (22-11), rated fifth in Class B Minnesota Amateur Baseball, start the day at 9 a.m. against the Minneapolis Lyons Pub, the 10th-rated team in Class A.
Two other Twin Cities teams make the trip south Saturday. Class A's eighth-rated Minneapolis Cobras and vote-getter St. Paul Glynn's Building Products will be in attendance as well.
All games will be seven innings.
Two other regular season games involving Austin-based amateur teams have been rescheduled for Friday night. The Greyhounds will host the Rochester Blues at 6:30 p.m., and the make-up from Wednesday's rain-out between the Hayfield/Austin Athletics and the Austin Merchants will follow.
