The Rochester Rockets took first place in the 24th Annual Austin Youth International Baseball Tournament, beating Northfield in Sunday's finals 3-2 at Todd Park's North Diamonds.

The Rochester Spartans finished third by beating Mason City-Newman, 19-6, while La Crosse Shelby won the fifth-place consolation finals by taking a 6-5 decision over Cloquet.

The Austin Jaycees 12-and-under All-Stars finished seventh in the tournament.

Tournament dates for next year's event have been set as July 4-6.
