If you had a chance to save a life, would you accept the invitation?
Starting Monday, you can have the chance to do just that by participating in a blood drive sponsored by the Mower County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
The blood drives will take place from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday in the community room at Oak Park Mall. If you prefer morning hours, the YMCA will host a blood drive next Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Elaine Hansen, executive director of the Mower County chapter, said a pricetag can't be put on giving blood.
"It just feels good knowing that you may have saved a life," she said. "It could be your own, your friend or your parent."
