This state law makes good sense

There’s no question that a state law, which makes it a misdemeanor to intentionally yield to an emergency vehicle, makes sense.

Emergency vehicles, by law, already have the right-of-way when they're on the road. It serves motorists right that if they blatantly disregard these vehicles, they should be held accountable for their actions.

There have been countless accidents throughout the state because motorists haven't given the right-of-way to emergency vehicles.

Ambulances and police cars don't just face dangers when having to deal with vehicles going the same direction, but also in the opposite direction.

This law should be a no-brainer. So much so that it would seem unnecessary to make a law to ensure drivers move to the side of the road when an ambulance has its sirens and lights on. But there’s no question that some don't realize the importance of this.
