The visiting Ridgewater women's volleyball team came to town Friday night and swept the home team 3-0 at Riverland by scores of 30-23, 30-25, and 30-15.

Riverland volleyball coach Helen Jahr felt like the team could have done better against the visiting Warriors, stating "We played very well in the two games, but we really came out flat in the last game. It really showed in the score."

Becky Herrmann was 100 percent on the serving line with two aces and nine kills. Aubree Page had 15 digs and three blocks, and Kari Wobschall also had three blocks. Steph Vollbrecht had 12 digs, while teammate Ellie Ramseth had 19 assists.

Coach Jahr, while disappointed, looks to the future.

"I would have liked to have won this conference match. I have felt all along that we could beat a team like Ridgewater," she said. "We will look forward to meeting them again."

The Blue Devils dropped to 8-9 overall and 1-3 in the MCCC.

Riverland's next opponent will be against the Bluejays of Minnesota West Wednesday at Worthington.
