Grand Meadow quarterback Kyle Breitbarth ran for two touchdowns and threw for a pair as the eighth-rated Superlarks rolled over Glenville-Emmons, 48-7, Friday night on the road in Southern Confederacy Conference play.

Breitbarth, coming off Grand Meadow's first loss last week at LeRoy-Ostrander, ran for 109 yards and threw for 85 more as the entire Superlarks sideline got into the game. Thirty different GM defenders made tackles as the 'Larks upped their overall mark to 3-1, and 2-1 in the SCC.

"After last week I was concerned about how we would play," said GM coach Gary Sloan. "We were a little sluggish in the first half, but sharp in the second."

The Superlarks played without starting fullback Ryan Ament, who sprained an ankle in last week's 21-7 loss at LeRoy. Zac Benson helped to pick up some of the slack with 70 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.

Breitbarth hit Chad Doocy for a 47-yard touchdown pass to start Grand Meadow's 21-point second quarter. He later found Justin Olson for a 33-yarder to paydirt.

Breitbarth's touchdown runs covered 14 and 44 yards as GM broke open a 48-0 halftime lead and played with a running clock in the second half.

Aaron Holst and Tyler Knutson also had rushing touchdowns for Grand Meadow, who hosts Nicollet (4-0) for homecoming next Friday.

"They have blown everybody out they have played," Sloan said. "Nicollet is a very important game for us to stay competitive for the postseason."
