Community helps out for school

It's great to see the Grand Meadow community truly coming together during this past week to help finalize the move into the city's new K-12 school.

The exterior of the building is complete. However, inside there's still numerous smaller tasks that need to be accomplished. Laying carpet and installing a bevy of pencil sharpeners are a couple. But students, staff and community members were all seen this past week hauling cabinets, desks and boxes from the old school into the new one.

It just shows that with everyone's help, any task can get accomplished -- no matter how big or small the job. We congratulate the Grand Meadow community on its new school and are glad to see many are still helping out until that first class bell rings.
