The City of Austin will hold a community forum for the city administrator search today at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

"It's an opportunity for the community to have input on what its looking for in a city administrator. Anyone in the community can attend," Mayor Bonnie Rietz said.

The city council has been working with the Brimeyer Group, Executive Search Consultants who assisted in the hiring of current City Administrator Pat McGarvey 11 years ago. It will use the "ideal candidate" profile surveys to create a picture of the background, experience and position of priorities in the city, in order to find the most compatible candidate.

Those who cannot attend the forum may call Mayor Rietz at 437-9940.
