A halftime adjustment halted NRHEG's charge as the Blooming Prairie boys' basketball team surged to 12-2 and 6-1 in the Gopher Conference with a 49-36 victory Tuesday night in Blooming.
The Blossoms held the slow-paced Panthers to single-digit scoring in three of four quarters. Jon Peterson scored seven of his game-high 12 points in the fourth quarter, and David Kramer scored all of his eight in the final frame as BPHS locked in the win with an 18-14 edge in the last quarter.
"We came out in the second half and made some nice adjustments and pulled out to a little bit of a lead," said Blooming coach John Bruns.
The Blossoms led 18-14 after the first half but slowly opened up their lead en route to the Gopher Conference victory.
Zak Tracy led the Panthers with 11 points.
