The recent cold snap seems to be just starting to go away. But it's still winter.

So, one way to stay warm is to head on over to the Lyle High School cafeteria Saturday. The school's junior class is sponsoring a sloppy joe supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $4 at the door.

Those who are interested in signing up for a beginning watercolor class for high schoolers and adults can participate in the event Sunday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Austin Area Art Center. Pre-registration is available at the center.

And the League of Women Voters-Austin Area will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Sunday in the large conference room at the Austin Public Library.
