It was another tough afternoon for the Austin boys' tennis team as they were swept 7-0 at the hands of Rochester Mayo Tuesday afternoon at Paulson Courts.
"We just couldn't develop any consistency out there," said AHS head coach Rayce Hardy.
While the first three singles matches were fairly lopsided, Dolan Wagner was able to take the first set 6-3 from Scott Thomas before eventually falling in three sets.
Highlights from doubles play included the No. 2 doubles team of Luke Green and Jack Lynch extending Mayo to 6-4 in their first set, while the pairing of Kyler Green and David Binder did the same in the second set of their match.
The Packers drop to 0-3 and 0-2 in Big 9 play. They head north to take on Mankato East this afternoon.
