The Lyle/Pacelli golf team dropped its first match of the season Friday to Glenville-Emmons, as wet conditions at Ramsey Golf Course contributed to some high scores.
"They just played better than we did today," said head coach Mark Buntje. "We didn't have any great scores out there.
"A 45 isn't going to cut it."
Jarad Knutson put up a 42 to lead all golfers on the day. Every G-E golfer shot under a 44, while Tyler Fett was the low man for L/P with a 45.
"The kids were disappointed with how they played," said Buntje, "but there's still plenty of time to recover."
Lyle/Pacelli's next match will be at LeRoy-Ostrander Monday afternoon.
