Police bust drinking parties

Austin police were called to two drinking parties over the weekend involving minors.

Early Saturday, police were called to a residence in the 1100 block of Second Ave. SW.

Twelve minors were arrested at the scene for minor consuming violations. Six of the 12 were between the ages of 18 and 20, while the others were 17 or less, according to the Austin Police Department report.

Ryan Jacob Anderson, 20, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of minors, minor consuming and obstructing legal process after police said he became belligerent when taken into custody.

Austin police were called to another disturbance at 11:28 p.m. Friday at Riverland Community College's student housing complex.

A housing manager reported the loud party and police arrested 11 people for minor consuming violations in a student dorm room, according to the police report.
